Challenging math problems worth solving. Organized by grade level. Originally introduced by Robert Kaplinsky with an closed beginning, closed end and open middle (many ways to solve!). These may seem simple by nature, but can be challenging to attempt to solve multiple ways. One or two of these questions can be wonderful for homework!

We design posters and handouts that hook you visually and explain the problem in just enough words. The problems that we’ve picked require trying, struggling, failing, adjusting, and trying again until, finally, a discovery is made.
